World No. 3 Preeti Pawar (women’s 54kg) beat Catherine Mwape of Zambia by a unanimous 5-0 decision while Olympian Jaismine Lamboria (women’s 57kg) stormed into the final after defeating Rapelang Maselela of Lesotho via referee-stopped contest (RSC).
Sachin Siwach, fifth in the men’s 60kg rankings, outclassed Owain Harris-Allan of Wales by a unanimous decision.
World No. 12 Ankush Panghal (men’s 80kg) also advanced to the final with another unanimous-decision victory over Canada’s Joshua Ofori.
Narender Berwal (men’s +90kg) defeated Nigel Paul of Trinidad and Tobago by a unanimous 5-0 decision and will face Scotland’s Robert McNulty for gold.
Priya Ghanghas (women’s 60kg) produced an assured display against Lucy Kings-Wheatley of England to record another 5-0 decision and reach the final. Jadumani Singh Mandengbam (men’s 55kg), meanwhile, beat Namibia’s Philip Haoseb 5-0.
