MUMBAI: Amit Sharma has taken charge as content lead, Hindi, for Zee Bullet at Zee Entertainment Enterprises Limited, marking a fresh chapter for a broadcasting hand who has clocked nearly two decades in the business.
Sharma’s career spans every rung of the newsroom and studio floor, from scripting to channel leadership, taking in stints at some of the country’s best-known production houses and broadcasters along the way. His LinkedIn profile lists recent roles including head at Shemaroo & Nazara TV and content director at Star Plus, alongside earlier positions as creative director at IN10 Media Network and, before that, a near five-year run as creative director at Zee Entertainment itself between 2017 and 2022.
That last stint makes this appointment something of a homecoming. Sharma returns to Zee at a moment when the broadcaster is sharpening its Hindi content slate, and Zee Bullet, its fast-paced news and current affairs vertical, will be banking on his newsroom pedigree to keep the format punchy and the audience hooked.
Eighteen years in broadcasting has taught Sharma one thing above all: content that doesn’t move fast doesn’t move at all. On that count, Zee Bullet has found its man. The bulletins start now.
