Chennai, India – Playback singer A.R. Ameen, son of legendary music composer A.R. Rahman, was involved in a car accident in the Guindy area of Chennai during the early hours of Monday, August 10. Ameen and a companion sustained minor injuries when their vehicle collided with a cab near the Olympia Tech Park signal. Both were promptly taken to a hospital for treatment and have since been discharged, returning home. Authorities have initiated an investigation into the circumstances of the late-night collision.

According to reports, the incident occurred at approximately 3:30 AM on Monday. A.R. Ameen was traveling in his car with a friend, reportedly heading towards Guindy, when a cab emerging from a side road collided with their vehicle. The impact caused damage to both cars. Fortunately, despite the late-night timing and the nature of the collision, there were no reports of severe injuries to Ameen or his friend, providing relief to their fans and well-wishers.
Ameen Hospitalized, Later Discharged After Treatment
Following the collision, A.R. Ameen and his friend were transported to Kauvery Hospital. After receiving treatment for their minor injuries, they were discharged and are now recuperating at home. The passenger in the involved cab also sustained injuries and was taken to Kalaignar Centenary Super Speciality Hospital for treatment, subsequently being discharged. The Adyar Traffic Investigation Wing has taken charge of the case and is actively examining the details surrounding the incident. Both vehicles involved in the collision have reportedly been seized as part of the ongoing police inquiry, with further information anticipated as the investigation progresses.
