Back Behind Bars: Predator’s Bond Revoked Following Breach of Release Conditions

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas – Adnan Walker, a man previously charged with the “super aggravated” sexual assault of a young child, is back behind bars in Harris County after failing to comply with the conditions of his release.

Walker first drew widespread scrutiny last February during a FOX 26 “Breaking Bond” report. Despite facing severe charges for the sexual assault of a five-year-old non-verbal girl, Walker had been released on bond just two days after his arrest. At the time of that initial release, he was already out on bond for three separate counts of child pornography, which authorities say included a collection of more than 500 explicit videos.

Under Texas law, the severity of the sexual assault charge against Walker could have allowed for him to be held without bond. However, he was initially granted release on bonds totaling $185,000.

Andy Kahan, a victims’ advocate with Crime Stoppers who has monitored the case closely, expressed relief at the recent development. “These are really sickening. You can’t even attempt to describe anything in the videos without stepping all over boundaries of stuff you can’t put on TV,” Kahan said of the evidence. “I winced, and I’ve been doing this a long time and it made me cringe.”

Walker’s return to custody follows a series of reported bond violations. According to court records, the GPS tracking device mandated as a condition of his release was deactivated on two separate occasions—once in September and again last month.

While it is relatively uncommon for a defendant’s bond to be revoked strictly for procedural violations, legal observers suggest the gravity of the allegations likely played a decisive role in the court’s decision to intervene.

“The nature of the offenses is so hideous, insidious, and frankly disturbing that perhaps the court said, ‘You know what? We better bring you in,'” Kahan added. “I’m hoping he doesn’t get out. This guy does not need to be out on the streets. It’s that bad.”

Following his latest apprehension, a judge increased Walker’s bond to $285,000. As of this week, Walker has not posted the new amount and remains in the Harris County Jail.

His next scheduled appearance in court is set for December 15. The case continues to highlight ongoing concerns regarding bond practices in Harris County, specifically regarding defendants accused of violent crimes against children.
