Nottingham Forest Bolster Ranks with Signing of Defender Daniel Muñoz

Nottingham Forest have officially bolstered their defensive options with the acquisition of experienced right wing-back Daniel Muñoz from Crystal Palace. The 30-year-old Colombian international has signed a three-year deal at the City Ground, which includes an option for a further 12-month extension.

The transfer, believed to be worth in the region of £22 million, marks a significant reunion for the defender and head coach Oliver Glasner, as the pair previously collaborated during their time at Selhurst Park. Muñoz becomes the fifth new arrival for the Reds this summer, joining a busy recruitment drive that has already secured the services of Xaver Schlager, Ousmane Diomande, Steven Benda, and Liam Delap.

Muñoz’s career has seen him excel across several leagues; prior to his move to England, he spent a successful four-year stint with Belgian giants Genk, while also plying his trade at home in Colombia with Atlético Nacional and Águilas Doradas.
