CARY — Cotton Incorporated has released a new life cycle assessment (LCA) of US cotton fibre production which claims a net negative cradle‑to‑gate carbon footprint once biogenic carbon is taken fully into account.
The study, conducted by WSP USA Inc., draws on primary data from 753 growers across 17 states, covering around 9.2% of US cotton acreage.
