Environmental Monitoring & Measurement Achievement Awards (the EMMAs) Return Bigger Than Ever in 2026

Reflecting the Continued Growth of Environmental Monitoring Across Air, Water, and Land.

The Environmental Monitoring & Measurement Achievement Awards (the EMMAs) will return to Birmingham in 2026, building on a record-breaking year and further cementing their position as the premier celebration of excellence across the environmental monitoring sector.

Taking place on Wednesday 16 September 2026 at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole, the awards will bring together industry leaders, innovators, and decision-makers from across air quality, emissions, water, wastewater, land remediation, and environmental monitoring to celebrate the organisations, technologies, and individuals driving measurable impact across the sector.

Following the success of the 2025 edition, the EMMAs have grown in both scale and scope. The awards now better reflect the expanding role of monitoring, data, and analysis in tackling environmental challenges, at a time when innovation, compliance, and evidence-led decision-making are more important than ever.

As the environmental services landscape becomes increasingly interconnected, the 2026 EMMAs have evolved to recognise excellence across the full spectrum of environmental monitoring and measurement.

A major development for 2026 is the introduction of new categories focused on land, soil, and geoenvironmental measurement, broadening the reach of the awards and marking a significant milestone for professionals working in contaminated land, remediation, and site investigation. These additions reflect the increasingly cross-sector nature of environmental monitoring, while reinforcing the EMMAs’ core mission: to champion excellence in measurement, analysis, compliance, and environmental performance across air, water, land, and cross-media applications.

A Call for Nominations

Nominations for the 2026 EMMAs are now open, inviting entries from organisations and professionals across environmental monitoring, air quality and emissions management, water and wastewater, contaminated land, remediation, and related disciplines. Entry is completely free.

With growing pressure on organisations to deliver sustainable, data-driven solutions, the EMMAs offer a valuable platform to showcase innovation, demonstrate real-world impact, and gain recognition among a highly engaged audience of industry leaders, technical specialists, and decision-makers. The awards also serve as a well-deserved celebration of the people and organisations advancing environmental progress through monitoring and measurement excellence.
