Colleagues from FCC Environment rolled up their sleeves this week to support the Keep Doncaster Tidy initiative
A team of colleagues from FCC Environment rolled up their sleeves this week to support the Keep Doncaster Tidy initiative, helping to improve the local environment and give something back to the community.
Five FCC Environment colleagues took part in the clean-up event, Naomi Smith – Internal Communication and Engagement Advisor, Ruby Cook – Graduate Management Trainee, Zoe Hayhurst – Paralegal, Harry Butterworth – Payables Apprentice and Eleanor Trinh – Payables Administrator, collecting five large bags of litter from the local area during the day.

The activity formed part of a wider collaborative effort, bringing together businesses and organisations committed to making Doncaster a cleaner, more pleasant place to live and work.
The event, organised by Doncaster Chamber, encourages local employers to take practical action while strengthening partnerships across the region. Volunteers were provided with equipment and support before heading out to target areas in need of attention.
By taking part, FCC Environment colleagues demonstrated the company’s ongoing commitment to environmental responsibility and community engagement, aligning with its wider mission to protect resources, reduce waste and support sustainable communities.
Speaking after the event, the team reflected positively on the experience, highlighting the visible difference made in just a few hours and the value of businesses working together for a shared purpose.
Naomi Smith, Internal Communications and Engagement Advisor at FCC Environment, said: “We were really proud to support the Keep Doncaster Tidy event and play our part in making a visible difference to the local community.
“I’m incredibly grateful to my colleagues who gave their time and energy on the day – their enthusiasm and teamwork made a real impact. Coming together to take practical action like this aligns so closely with our values as a business – caring for the environment, supporting the communities we work in, and taking responsibility for the impact we make.
“Even in a short space of time, it was rewarding to see how a small team effort can contribute positively to the place we live and work.”
