SAMBHAJI NAGAR, MAHARASHTRA – In a move that signals an ambitious expansion of its influence, the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) has announced its national leadership team, a diverse cohort of 12 professionals from various fields. This unveiling follows the successful conclusion of their 36-day protest at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar, with the organization reiterating its commitment to social change without formally entering electoral politics.
The newly formed leadership structure, revealed after a two-day meeting in Sambhaji Nagar, Maharashtra, boasts a unique blend of expertise. Among its ranks are a journalist, an engineer, a lawyer, two chartered accountants, an entrepreneur, and a hotel management graduate. This professional mosaic, the CJP asserts, is a deliberate reflection of the young, multifaceted leadership it aims to cultivate as it seeks to broaden its national footprint beyond street activism.
The Founder and Conveners: Academic Prowess Meets Activism
Leading the charge is Abhijeet Dipke (30), a resident of Sambhaji Nagar, Maharashtra, who has been appointed Founder and National Convener. Dipke brings a robust academic background to the role, holding a bachelor’s degree in Journalism and Mass Communication from Pune and a master’s degree in Public Relations from Boston University, USA.
Joining him as Co-Conveners are two equally accomplished individuals. Ashutosh Ranka (30), from Jaipur, Rajasthan, possesses a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) degree from the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur, complemented by a master’s degree in Public Administration from the London School of Economics. Saurav Das (27), a resident of Delhi, also contributes a degree in Journalism and Mass Communication, further solidifying the team’s communication and public engagement capabilities.
Organizational Structure and Zonal Reach: A Strategic Deployment
The CJP’s organizational framework is designed for national reach, with key roles assigned to individuals with varied professional backgrounds and regional connections.
Ajinkya Shinde (35), from Latur, Maharashtra, a B.Tech graduate from Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Technological University (DBATU), Lonere, Raigad, Maharashtra, assumes the critical position of National Organisation In-Charge. His technical background is expected to bolster the party’s operational efficiency.
Further cementing its grassroots connection, Deepak Baliyan (26), an Alwar, Rajasthan resident with a master’s degree in Political Science from Bharatpur, has been named Organisation Co-In-Charge and Head of the North Zone. Hailing from a farming family, Baliyan’s active involvement in agrarian movements provides a crucial link to a significant demographic.
Financial oversight and regional leadership are entrusted to Yogesh Ingale (33), a Chartered Accountant (CA) from Pune, Maharashtra, who takes charge as Finance Lead and Head of the West Zone. Parallelly, Ankit Bharadwaj (35), also a Chartered Accountant (CA) from Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, will oversee the East and North-East Zones as In-Charge.
Media engagement and South Zone leadership fall to Vijay Reddy Mallangi (30), a Hyderabad, Telangana native. Mallangi’s strong academic foundation, including a Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering from Osmania University and a master’s degree in Applied Science from Columbia University, positions him well for strategic communication.
Legal, Policy, and Business: A Holistic Approach
The CJP’s commitment to a well-rounded approach is evident in the allocation of specialized roles. Ratna Singh (31), a Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh resident with a Bachelor of Legislative Law (LL.B.) degree from Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Delhi, will lead Legal Affairs.
Policy formulation and research will be spearheaded by Vaishnavi Gaur (29) from Dehradun, Uttarakhand, who holds a Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Legislative Law (BA LL.B.) (Hons.) degree from Panjab University, Chandigarh.
Entrepreneurial drive enters the leadership through Aafreen Nawaz (34), a Bengaluru, Karnataka resident with an MBA, who runs her own venture and has been named National Secretary.
Finally, in a testament to the diverse skill sets being harnessed, Rohan Deshpande (31), from Mumbai, a graduate in Hotel Management from IHM Mumbai, has been appointed Technology Lead. This highlights a deliberate departure from conventional political roles, emphasizing practical skills over traditional political experience.
