UK-based LEDsynergy has entered into a partnership with India’s first LED display manufacturer, LEDX Technology.
LEDsynergy’s core display product range will now be manufactured at LEDX’s factory, while all custom and specialist display solutions will continue to be designed and built in the UK.
The shift from UK manufacturing of the core displays is a response to increasing cost pressures within the global electronics and display sector which have made it progressively more challenging to keep prices competitive and standards high at the same time.
The LEDX factory in Gujarat is India’s first and only fully automated LED display manufacturing operation, offering analternative to traditional supply chains. The factory uses surface mount display (SMD) machinery sourced directly from Japan and Korea, with all products certified to global compliance benchmarks, including FCC, CE, RoHS, and UL/ETL standards.
Spanning 10,000 square metres, the fully automated, air-conditioned plant has an annual production capacity of 50,000 square metres of LED displays. It also benefits from access to international airports and major ports.
Despite the shift in production for standardised products, all of LEDsynergy’s displays will continue to integrate seamlessly with the company’s UK-designed and hosted cloud control system, which has been approved for use by the Ministry of Defence.
