London’s best World Cup hotspot with award-winning burgers and DJs all summer

If you and your pals are looking for somewhere to watch England (hopefully) bring it home while munching on burgers and sipping on pints with DJs playing way into the night, then we’ve got the spot for you

Foodies, listen up! You’re in luck as award-winning chef James Cochran has extended his residency at East London’s popular Number 90 throughout the summer. He was originally due to wrap up his kitchen takeover in June but after proving a huge hit with diners, his menu will now stay on for the warmer summer months.

Based in Hackney Wick, Number 90 has spent the last 18 months transforming itself into a day-to-night destination blending top food, live music, DJs and nightlife under one roof.

Cochran, who has won Great British Menu’s Champion of Champions title, has created a menu packed with crowd-pleasers including the No.90 Smash Burger, his famous “All Gravy Baby” buttermilk fried chicken burger and Colonel Cochran chicken buckets.

Jerk hot honey fried chicken and a brand-new Sunday roast are also available to try.

The venue is also expanding its music programme, with live Sunday sessions, listening-bar events and DJ sets that turn the canalside spot into one of East London’s hottest hangouts.

On the lineup is Half Baked, Terry Francis. Gideon Jackson. Wigflex. Greg Boraman. John Morales, Millie McKee, Nina Yamada and babyschön.

Football fans are also in for a treat this summer because Number 90 is screening England’s biggest World Cup matches.

They’ll also be showing other major international games on their giant screens, so head on down to get in the spirit!

Tickets include a complimentary beer, with DJs performing before and after the action.
