A 44-year-old man remains in hospital being treated after suffering injuries to his face and body

A man remains in hospital two days after he suffered injuries to his face and body in an ‘incident’ inside a Stockton property. Emergency services were called at 4.30pm on Friday, July 31, after a 44-year-old man suffered several injuries during an incident inside an address in the Bishopton area.
On Sunday, August 2, the man remains in James Cook University Hospital receiving treatment. His injuries are not currently believed to be life-threatening.
Several police units attended and carried out area searches in Bishopton Road. Further enquiries were also carried out in Hartington Road. Pictures shared on social media showed a large armed police presence in the area following the incident.
A spokesperson for Cleveland Police said: “Whilst no arrests have been made at this stage, an investigation by detectives from Stockton CID is underway and we would appeal for anyone with information who has not yet spoken to police -or anyone with any relevant doorbell, dash cam or private CCTV footage – to contact Cleveland Police on the 101 number. Please quote ref 151848.
“If you don’t want to speak to police you can pass information anonymously online to independent charity Crimestoppers or phone them on 0800 555 111.”
