New Orleans
David Schlakman
David Schlakman, board president of the New Orleans Women and Children’s Shelter, has been appointed to the board of directors of the Harvard Alumni Association, where he will represent Harvard Clubs across the Southeast.
Meghan Donelon
Meghan Donelon, senior vice president and commercial banking group manager at First Horizon Bank, has been appointed as the board chair of the executive committee of United Way of Southeast Louisiana. Donelon also serves as treasurer of the board of the New Orleans Museum of Art and on the executive committee of the Allstate Sugar Bowl.
Emily Ross
Emily Ross has been hired by Adams & Reese as counsel in the firm’s litigation practice group in New Orleans. Ross, formerly of Pipes Miles Beckman, has taught Advanced Appellate Advocacy as an adjunct lecturer-in-law at Tulane University Law School.
Danielle Reboli
Danielle Reboli has been hired by Republic Business Credit as a senior vice president and underwriter.
Cheria Scaffidi
Cheria Scaffidi has promoted by LSU New Orleans to become executive director of university advancement and president and chief executive officer of the LSU New Orleans Foundation. Scaffidi, who joined the university in 2023 as creative director and community strategist for the UNO Research & Technology Foundation, will lead the university’s fundraising, alumni engagement, corporate partnerships and philanthropic strategy.
The National Kidney Foundation of Louisiana announced several new members to its board and appointed officers for the coming year. They include: board President Michael Wright, Medical Advisory Board Chair Dr. R. Brooks Robey, board Treasurer Claire Rea, board Secretary Elaine Robinson, Erwin Aguilar, Dr. Arzu Hatipoglu, April Sallier, Valarie Schmale and Quynh-Tram Tran.
Baton Rouge
Brandon Maxwell has been named the new public and government affairs manager for ExxonMobil’s operations in the Baton Rouge area. Maxwell, who previously held leadership roles within ExxonMobil’s Low Carbon Solutions business, most recently managed public and government affairs for ExxonMobil’s Corpus Christi, Texas, operations.
Tyrone Rogers and June Rogers, who recently relocated from New Orleans to Baton Rouge, have been named as the new officers of The Salvation Army of Greater Baton Rouge.
The Louisiana Motor Transport Association installed its 2026-27 executive committee. Those elected include: Rickie Guillory, of Guillory Petroleum Transportation, as board chair; Randy Berard, of Berard Transportation, as board president; Jordan Hymel, of Frisard Cos., as first vice president; Colby Domingue, of United Vision Logistics, as second vice president; Danielle Gaudamud, of Gallagher Insurance, as vice president at large; Nicole Austin, of Bengal Transport, as treasurer; Ben Hogan, of Dedicated Transportation, as secretary; Kenny Stocks, of Trinity Group of Louisiana, as ATA vice president; Brad Nelson, of FreedomTrucks of America, as alternate ATA vice president; and Karl Mears, of Razorback Rentals, as chair of the council of past presidents.

Ginger Cangelosi
Ginger Cangelosi has been hired as the new CEO of the St. Bernard Economic Development Foundation. Cangelosi, who previously worked as executive director of economic development for Tangipahoa Parish government and director of the Tangipahoa Economic Development Foundation, will begin her new role on Aug. 15.
Emily Couvillion
Emily Couvillion has been promoted to admissions director of Louisiana Christian University. Couvillion previously worked as an admissions counselor and the Pineville university’s recruiter for the New Orleans area.
Tara Melvin
Mary Langley
The Lafon Performing Arts Center, which is part of St. Charles Parish Public Schools, announced the hiring of a pair of arts professionals. Tara Melvin, who manages a private voice studio and works as a racial justice facilitator, has been named the organization’s new program director. Mary Langley, the former production manager for New Hampshire Theatre Project and a company member of Intramural Theater Co., has become its audience services manager.
