Rosalyn Mackenzie Green, 20, was taken into custody by Evansville police officers after they intercepted her red SUV as she was attempting to flee the scene of a residential burglary on East Iowa Street.
The incident began Saturday afternoon when dispatchers received reports of a woman in a red SUV smashing windows at a private residence. According to investigators, the conflict stems from an altercation that occurred the previous night at a local club where both the suspect and the victim are employed.
Green offered an account of the situation to responding officers, claiming she returned home Saturday to find her own apartment destroyed. She reported that her furniture, including her mattress and couches, had been slashed, and that household items like syrup and bleach had been poured throughout the residence. Green also alleged that $300 in cash had been stolen from her home. Rather than contacting law enforcement regarding the destruction of her property, Green told police she decided to target the woman she believed was responsible for the sabotage.
