US EPA to monitor 30 unregulated drinking water contaminants
The US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has proposed monitoring requirements for 30 unregulated contaminants, including certain PFAS, under the sixth Unregulated Contaminant Monitoring Rule (UCMR 6).
The Safe Drinking Water Act requires the EPA to issue a list of unregulated contaminants for public water systems to monitor every five years, building a national picture of their occurrence and potential health risk.
