Nintendo Reveals A New Switch 2 Bundle, Launching This October

Nintendo Bolsters Switch 2 Lineup with New “Sports Resort” Bundle

As Nintendo continues to roll out a steady stream of first-party titles, the company has officially announced a new hardware package designed to entice new owners. The latest addition to the lineup is a fresh Switch 2 bundle, set to hit store shelves on October 22nd.

The new offering includes the console, a digital copy of Nintendo Switch Sports Resort, and a three-month subscription to Nintendo Switch Online (NSO). Priced at $529.99, the bundle provides consumers with a total saving of $27.98 compared to purchasing the items individually.

Adjusting to a New Price Landscape

This announcement arrives on the heels of a significant shift in Nintendo’s pricing strategy. Following the upcoming price hike scheduled for September 1st, Nintendo is keen to provide added value to offset the increased cost of entry for its next-generation hardware.

The Sports Resort bundle isn’t the only option arriving this autumn. Nintendo also confirmed the return of the Mario Kart World bundle in late September. Originally available at launch for $499.99, the returning Mario Kart World package will carry an updated price tag of $549.99, reflecting the general price increase. Even at this higher cost, the bundle offers a total saving of $37.98, including the game and the three-month NSO membership.

Global Impact

The price adjustments are not limited to the North American market. Just last week, Nintendo confirmed specific details for the UK, where the base Switch 2 console is set to rise by £24, bringing the standard retail price to £419.99 starting September 1st.

These updates have naturally sparked speculation regarding potential future limited-edition consoles. With rumors circulating about a special edition Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Switch 2 console and matching Pro Controller, fans are now left wondering how high the price ceiling will be for premium, collector-focused hardware.

As the holiday season approaches, these bundles serve as a strategic play to maintain momentum for the Switch 2, offering a more attractive value proposition even as the base cost of the platform climbs.

Will you be picking up either of these Switch 2 bundles in the coming months, or are you holding out for a potential limited-edition release? Let us know in the comments below.
