Pearl Global Threads Needle to $1B Milestone with Record-Breaking H1 Surge

Pearl Global Industries Reports Record-Breaking Growth in H1FY27, Eyes ₹10,000 Crore Milestone

Apparel manufacturing giant Pearl Global Industries Limited (PGIL) has posted an exceptional financial performance for the first half of the 2027 fiscal year, riding a wave of strong international demand and strategic capacity expansion. The company’s unaudited results for the period ending September 30, 2026, reveal a business firing on all cylinders, as it cements its position as a key player in the global garment supply chain.

Record-Breaking Financials

The firm reported a record consolidated revenue of ₹3,330 crore for H1FY27, marking a robust 31.1% increase compared to the same period last year. Profitability metrics were equally impressive; adjusted EBITDA surged by 47.7% to reach ₹348 crore, while Profit After Tax (PAT) witnessed a staggering 63.6% jump, settling at ₹225 crore.

This performance was anchored by an improved EBITDA margin of 10.5%, the highest ever recorded by the company for a first-half period, representing a 120-basis-point expansion. The momentum remained consistent into the second quarter of the fiscal year, where PGIL achieved its highest-ever quarterly revenue of ₹1,802 crore, a 37.2% year-on-year growth, complemented by a 74.7% spike in quarterly PAT.

Strategic Vision and Expansion

Looking ahead, the leadership at PGIL is setting its sights on aggressive long-term growth. Pulkit Seth, Vice-Chairman and Non-Executive Director, announced a capital expenditure roadmap of ₹675–725 crore earmarked for the period spanning FY27 to FY30. This investment is designed to bolster supply-chain integration and refine operational efficiencies, with the ultimate objective of achieving a revenue target of ₹9,000–10,000 crore by FY30.

“We are entering the second half of the year with a robust order pipeline,” Seth stated, noting that the firm is well-positioned to capitalize on its expanded manufacturing footprint and strengthened relationships with major global retail brands.

Market Dynamics and Outlook

The company’s growth has been fueled by both long-standing client partnerships and the successful onboarding of new customers whose programs are now reaching significant scale. Managing Director Pallab Banerjee highlighted that the competitive landscape for Indian exporters is shifting in a favorable direction.

“Customer interest has notably improved following the conclusion of the India-UK Free Trade Agreement,” Banerjee remarked. He added that the potential signing of the India-EU Free Trade Agreement could further provide a tailwind, enhancing the global competitiveness of India’s textile and apparel sector.

However, the company remains pragmatic regarding the global environment. Management emphasized a watchful stance toward external macroeconomic variables and geopolitical fluctuations that could impact the global retail market. Despite these potential headwinds, PGIL’s strong liquidity position—boasting ₹638 crore in combined cash, bank balances, and mutual fund investments—provides the firm with a solid buffer as it scales its operations.

As of September 30, 2026, the company’s net worth has climbed to ₹1,634 crore, up from ₹1,438 crore at the end of the previous fiscal year, reflecting a healthy balance sheet that supports its ambitious path toward becoming a billion-dollar revenue entity by the turn of the decade.
