A woman has been charged with murder following the death of a pensioner in Bolton.
Emergency services were called to the Hargreaves House flat block, off Ormrod Street, at around 8am on Friday morning (July 17). A 75-year-old man was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
A murder investigation was launched by Greater Manchester Police. On Saturday, a crime scene van was pictured outside the flat block as evidence was gathered by forensic officers.

In an update issued this morning (Sunday), a GMP spokesperson said a woman has now been charged in connection with the man’s death. Samantha Nuttall, of Bradford Street, Bolton, has been charged with murder.
The 49-year-old has been remanded into custody. She is due to appear at Manchester and Salford Magistrates’ Court on Monday.
