“We’re not in a good place in terms of the results. It is a brilliant challenge. In terms of myself, in terms of my energy and what I give the team, it is more about what we do together. We’ve had some really good conversations and training sessions. In these situations, you find out a lot about yourself and you have to stay focused on the process which is the day in and day out.
“The noise is not anything you can control. You control what you can control. The things you can control in our group, our spirit, which I don’t think has ever been in question. Especially the game against Manchester City. We were playing against probably the most in-form team in this country and for 50/55 minutes we were well in the game, if not the better team and then a moment happens and you lose confidence.
“The team are together. We are united, we all want to be successful together. That is not a question at the moment.”
On how Chelsea can turn around their form: “You focus on what you can control, which is our performance, which is analysing ourselves, the opposition and making sure the process is right. You make sure the attitude, the energy and the application to the game is right and what hasn’t changed is that we have got some very good players that can make the difference and I expect a good performance on Saturday.”
