Ram Charan and Janhvi Kapoor’s Peddi Flops Badly In Hindi –

Peddi Box Office collection:

Ram Charan and Janhvi Kapoor’s Peddi has turned out to be a major disappointment in the Hindi market, putting up very low numbers over its extended opening weekend. Despite the film’s scale and star power, it failed to attract audiences in the Hindi belt.

The film opened on Thursday with ₹2.5 crore, but collections dropped sharply on Friday to ₹1.65 crore. While there was a slight improvement over the weekend, the growth was not strong enough to make an impact. Peddi collected ₹2 crore on Saturday and ₹2.75 crore on Sunday, taking its total Hindi net collection to just ₹8.90 crore. These numbers are considered quite poor, especially for a film featuring big names and wide expectations.

Below are the collections of Peddi in Hindi:

Thursday – 2.5 crore

Friday – 1.65 crore

Saturday – 2 crore

Sunday – 2.75 crore

TOTAL – 8.90 crore approx.

One of the main reasons behind the underperformance appears to be weak word-of-mouth and limited connection with the Hindi audience. The film has struggled to create buzz, and the occupancy in theatres has remained low throughout the weekend.

Adding to the film’s troubles is the controversy surrounding certain scenes featuring Janhvi Kapoor. Director Buchi Babu Sana recently addressed the backlash over what many viewers called “hyper-sexualized” scenes involving the actress. In response, the filmmaker issued an apology and assured that the concerns of the audience have been taken seriously.

He also stated that some of these scenes would be modified or removed to avoid discomfort and ensure a better viewing experience. However, the controversy seems to have impacted the film’s perception among a section of viewers.

With such a weak start in Hindi, Peddi now faces an uphill battle at the box office. A strong turnaround looks unlikely unless the film sees an unexpected surge in the coming days.
