Walsh Construction has removed the old crane at 1534 Broadway on Capitol Hill, having reached the full eight stories for the residential portion of the Constellation Center. That’s the south side of the hybrid project, to have 84 affordable units on its six upper floors. Community Roots Housing and the Seattle Chinatown International District Preservation and Development Authority are the prime movers there. Their apartments, mostly studios, will be affordable to households earning in a range between 30% to 50% of area median income.
