Investigation Launched After 16-Year-Old Cyclist Killed in Birmingham Collision

A community is in mourning after a 16-year-old boy tragically lost his life following a collision near Birmingham City’s St Andrews stadium on Friday morning.

The teenager was cycling on Cattell Road at approximately 5:25 a.m. when he was struck by a car. The impact was severe enough to leave the vehicle lodged against a local bus stop, with images from the scene showing the aftermath of the high-speed collision.

Emergency services, including three ambulances, a paramedic officer, and a MERIT trauma doctor, were dispatched to the junction of Cattell Road and Tilton Road in the Nechells area.
