A body has been found during a huge search for a missing Rhondda man, police have confirmed. 66-year-old Stephen Faulkner was last seen in the Tonypandy area last weekend. A major five-day search operation was launched by South Wales Police, with specialist divers, drones, CSI dogs and helicopters all involved.
Divers were seen searching Glyncornel Lake on Wednesday, May 27, following reports of a possible sighting there. Mr Faulkner’s devastated family had made repeated public appeals for information as officers and volunteers worked tirelessly to trace his movements.
Dozens of people have helped to look for Mr Faulkner over the last few days, with his family saying on Thursday they were overwhelmed by the “unbelievable” support they had received. Full story here
