Gwent Police has shared the results of its latest operation.

A statement read: “Our neighbourhood officers continue to work with our teams and partners to protect motorists and pedestrians from dangerous driving and ensure the only vehicles on our roads are roadworthy and fully insured.

“As part of Operation Atal and Operation Drift, we were joined by South Wales Fire and Rescue Service in addressing road safety in Caerphilly borough.

“During our latest operation, there was 153 vehicles monitored, 27 drivers educated about their speed, two traffic offence reports issued, one ticket issued by post and one drug driver identified and dealt with.”
