Polling stations will open at 7am for the 2026 Senedd Election. People will be able to vote until 10pm tonight to choose the 96 politicians who will be elected to the Senedd, or Welsh Parliament.
In a change for this election, the votes are not being counted overnight, but during the day on Friday, May 8. WalesOnline will have reporters across the country bringing you the results, reaction and analysis.
Major changes are being brought in for this election, which will see a larger Senedd, with an increase from 60 to 96 members. A new voting system is coming into place too – instead of first-past-the-post, a form of proportional representation will be used to determine the results.
