flyadeal Expands Indian Operations with New Riyadh-Mumbai Route
RIYADH, Saudi Arabia – October 3, 2026 – flyadeal, the rapidly expanding low-fare carrier of Saudia Group, has announced Mumbai as its second gateway into India, with direct flights from Riyadh set to commence on October 3, 2026. This new service follows the airline’s recent inauguration of flights to Hyderabad on July 3, 2026, marking a significant expansion of its presence in the Indian market.
The airline will operate five weekly non-stop flights between Riyadh and Mumbai, utilizing its modern A320neo aircraft fleet. This new route is expected to add over 7,400 seats monthly, bolstering connectivity between the two key cities. Flights are strategically scheduled for a morning arrival in Mumbai from Riyadh and a mid-morning arrival in Riyadh from Mumbai, offering convenient travel times for passengers.
flyadeal’s A320neo aircraft are configured with 186 all-Economy Class seats and feature Airbus’ "Airspace" cabin interior. This design includes extra-large overhead bins for increased storage, along with cabin aesthetics and lighting designed to enhance comfort and create a welcoming atmosphere. Passengers will also benefit from USB-A and USB-C charging ports available at every seat, ensuring their personal electronic devices remain powered throughout their journey.
Sanjiv Kapoor, flyadeal acting Chief Executive Officer and Executive Vice President Strategies at Saudia Group, emphasized the importance of this expansion. "India holds great importance in flyadeal’s international growth strategy, and adding Mumbai as our second Indian destination is a key milestone that expands our presence in this vital market," Kapoor stated. He added that the new Riyadh-Mumbai route will increase capacity and provide more choices and greater convenience for Indian expatriates, business travelers, and tourists traveling to and from Saudi Arabia. Kapoor highlighted flyadeal’s commitment to offering "modern, reliable, and high-quality travel" on what is anticipated to be one of its most crucial international routes, backed by the airline’s industry-leading on-time performance and affordable fares.
The introduction of Mumbai flights, following the Hyderabad launch, underscores flyadeal’s long-term vision to establish a broader network across India. As part of the Saudia Group, flyadeal’s international expansion aligns with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, which aims to boost inbound tourism through a dynamic aviation and tourism sector.
The Riyadh-Mumbai route is particularly significant as it connects the commercial capitals of both nations. Mumbai, known as India’s financial hub and home to Bollywood, is a compelling destination for Saudi travelers seeking both business and leisure opportunities. These new flights are also timed to facilitate seamless connections through Riyadh to other major Saudi cities such as Jeddah, Madinah, and Dammam, catering to business, tourism, and religious travel needs.
Tickets for flyadeal’s Riyadh-Mumbai flights are now available for booking via the flyadeal mobile app (Android and iOS), the airline’s official website www.flyadeal.com, and through various travel agents, including online platforms.
