Rs 6,400-crore IPO rush: 7 companies set to tap primary market next week

The Initial Public Offering market is gearing up for a bustling period, with seven companies poised to launch their public issues next week, from August 17 to 21. These offerings collectively aim to raise over Rs 6,400 crore. This fresh influx of issues follows a busy preceding week, which saw five IPOs, and three more earlier in the month. Should all seven successfully launch, the total number of companies entering the market in 2026 is projected to reach 55, according to industry data.

Leading this wave of market entries are Horizon Industrial Parks, backed by Blackstone, and the prominent jewellery retailer Lalithaa Jewellery Mart, both slated to open their IPOs on August 17. Horizon Industrial Parks is looking to secure Rs 2,600 crore through an entirely fresh issue, with a price band set between Rs 57 and Rs 60 per share. The company intends to allocate these funds towards repaying existing borrowings. Meanwhile, Lalithaa Jewellery Mart has targeted an issue size of Rs 1,700 crore, comprising a fresh issue of up to Rs 1,200 crore and an offer for sale (OFS) of up to Rs 500 crore. Its shares will be offered within a price band of Rs 190 to Rs 201.

The following day, August 18, will introduce two more contenders to the business landscape: Shankesh Jewellers and Sunshine Pictures. Shankesh Jewellers aims to raise Rs 367 crore, with a price band ranging from Rs 88 to Rs 93 per share. Their IPO structure includes a fresh issue of up to 2.95 crore equity shares and an OFS of up to 1 crore equity shares. Sunshine Pictures, on the other hand, seeks to raise Rs 282 crore. Its offering is priced between Rs 342 and Rs 360, consisting of a fresh issue of 48 lakh equity shares and an OFS of 30.37 lakh equity shares. Notably, promoters Vipul Amrutlal Shah and Shefali Vipul Shah will be selling shares through this OFS.

Mid-week, on August 19, Gaja Alternative Asset Management, operating under the Gaja Capital brand, will debut its Rs 550-crore IPO. The company has fixed its price band at Rs 152 to Rs 160 per share, with the issue composed of a fresh issue of up to Rs 450 crore and an OFS of up to Rs 100 crore. Tempsens Instruments will follow on August 20, bringing a fresh issue of Rs 95 crore and an OFS of 1.85 crore shares. The specific price band for Tempsens Instruments is yet to be announced and is expected on Monday.

Concluding the week’s IPO calendar on August 21 will be Augmont Enterprises. This integrated gold and silver platform plans to raise Rs 825 crore through a combination of a Rs 620-crore fresh issue and an OFS of Rs 205 crore. The company’s price band is anticipated to be disclosed on Tuesday.

The capital generated from these fresh issues is primarily earmarked for crucial corporate objectives such as business expansion, funding capital expenditures, and repaying existing debts. Conversely, the funds obtained through the Offer For Sale components will directly benefit the selling shareholders. The robust IPO pipeline is not expected to diminish after this wave of offerings; Skyways Air Services, an air freight forwarding and logistics company, is already scheduled to launch its Rs 583-crore issue on August 24, indicating continued dynamism in the primary market.
