The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) has formally initiated the registration process for the upcoming Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) examinations scheduled for February-March 2027. This pivotal period marks the beginning of the application window for numerous students across the state. Regular students currently enrolled in Class 12 are encouraged to submit their examination forms expeditiously through the streamlined SARAL system. This system leverages the PFN-ID that was previously generated during their preceding academic year, aiming to simplify the application experience.
The application period commenced on August 14th and will remain accessible until October 31st. Students are strongly advised to finalize their applications within this designated timeframe to prevent potential complications. Crucially, they must meticulously verify all entered details before the final submission to ensure accuracy and avoid errors.
The online registration process is designed to accommodate a diverse range of applicants. This includes not only regular students preparing for the HSC examination but also repeat candidates seeking to improve their scores, private students possessing a valid enrolment certificate, and eligible candidates from various vocational and other specialized categories. For the cohort of regular students, the board will seamlessly integrate necessary student information directly from the FYJC online system when processing their examination applications. However, students enrolled in the MCVC and ITI streams, whose details might not be readily available within the FYJC system, will be required to furnish their information directly to their respective divisional board, ensuring all necessary data is captured. Furthermore, students who have been issued an APPAR ID are reminded to include this unique identifier while completing their application forms.
Recognizing that some students might face unforeseen circumstances preventing them from meeting the initial deadline, the board has made provisions for late submissions. While the primary deadline for regular submissions is October 31st, students who miss this cut-off will not be immediately barred from registering. An initial late submission window will be open from November 1st to November 15th, during which candidates can submit their applications by incurring a specified late fee. Should a student still be unable to apply within this extended period, a further opportunity will be provided from November 16th to November 30th, albeit with an additional late fee. Despite these allowances, the board earnestly recommends that both educational institutions and students prioritize completing the application process within the standard deadline to circumvent any additional charges and to avoid the considerable stress and difficulties associated with last-minute applications.
In addition to the registration procedures, the board has also outlined precise guidelines concerning the photograph that students are required to upload as part of their examination application. Adherence to these specifications is paramount. The photograph must be a recent color passport-size image, uploaded in JPG format, with a file size strictly between 25 KB and 40 KB. It is imperative that the photograph has been taken within the past six months to ensure it reflects the student’s current appearance. The student’s face must be clearly visible, with both eyes and ears distinctly discernible in the photograph. Moreover, the image must conform to the board’s stipulated requirements regarding the background, overall appearance, and general quality, ensuring professionalism and clarity for official identification purposes. This detailed guidance aims to prevent any issues with photograph submission, contributing to a smooth and efficient application process for all aspiring candidates for the HSC examinations.
