NBCC Honored with Prestigious Rajbhasha Award for Excellence in Hindi Promotion
NEW DELHI: In a significant recognition of its dedicated efforts toward the propagation and implementation of the official language, NBCC (India) Limited has been conferred with a prestigious Rajbhasha Award. The accolade recognizes the company’s outstanding contributions to promoting Hindi through its in-house literature and official communication practices.
The award ceremony, held on August 19, 2026, saw a distinguished gathering of dignitaries and industry leaders. The coveted trophy and shield were formally presented to T.D. Mairal, General Manager (HRM/IR/Rajbhasha) of NBCC, by Anshuli Arya (IAS), Secretary of the Department of Official Language under the Ministry of Home Affairs.
Also present to grace the occasion was Vikas Kumar, Chairman of TOLIC Delhi (Undertaking-2) and Managing Director of the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC). Several senior officials from NBCC were also in attendance to celebrate the achievement, which underscores the organization’s commitment to linguistic diversity and the constitutional mandate of the official language.
This recognition highlights the company’s consistent endeavors in fostering the use of Hindi in its day-to-day corporate operations, as well as its success in publishing high-quality Hindi in-house magazines. By actively encouraging the use of Hindi across its various departments, NBCC has set a benchmark for other Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs).
