Motorola to Officially Support GrapheneOS on Future Flagship Devices
In a significant move for privacy-focused smartphone enthusiasts, Motorola has announced a strategic collaboration with the GrapheneOS development team. Starting in 2027, select flagship Motorola smartphones will feature official, out-of-the-box support for GrapheneOS, the hardened, privacy-centric version of Android.

To address this, these upcoming Motorola devices are guaranteed to “meet or exceed” the stringent requirements set by the GrapheneOS team, which includes a commitment to seven years of proper, sustained updates.
While these devices will ship with Motorola’s standard Android interface pre-installed, the official partnership ensures that users who prioritize security and privacy will have a seamless, supported path to wipe their devices and transition to GrapheneOS.
