‘Irumudi’ Box Office Update: Ravi Teja Starrer Approaches Rs 200 Crore Worldwide
Ravi Teja’s latest action drama, Irumudi, continues its steady theatrical run as it moves deeper into its second week. While the film has maintained a strong presence at the box office, it faced a notable dip in its daily earnings this past Wednesday.
According to data from Sacnilk, the film recorded an India net collection of Rs 4.10 crore on its 13th day of release, bringing its total domestic net earnings to Rs 146.15 crore. This latest figure was generated from 2,622 screenings across the country.
Performance and Declines
The midweek earnings represent a 30.5% decline compared to the previous day’s intake of Rs 5.90 crore. Despite this drop, the film has sustained impressive momentum overall. Irumudi concludes its Day 13 with an India gross of Rs 169.80 crore. When accounting for international markets, which contributed an additional Rs 30 lakh on Wednesday, the film’s total overseas gross now sits at Rs 21.80 crore, pushing the worldwide gross collections for Irumudi to an impressive Rs 191.60 crore.
Regional Breakdown and Occupancy
The film’s performance remains heavily anchored in the Telugu-speaking states, with Andhra Pradesh and Telangana contributing Rs 4.25 crore to the daily gross. Karnataka followed with Rs 40 lakh, while Tamil Nadu and other regions added modest amounts.
Regarding occupancy, the Telugu version saw an average of 26.42% throughout the day. Engagement grew steadily as the day progressed, starting at 17.38% during morning shows and peaking at 30.85% during the night screenings. Of the 2,622 total shows, 2,588 were dedicated to the Telugu version, with the remaining 34 shows catering to Tamil-language audiences.
Critical Reception and Narrative Complexity
While the box office numbers highlight the audience’s appetite for Ravi Teja’s latest outing, critical reviews have pointed to some narrative hurdles. An ETimes review noted that while the film’s second half succeeds in tying together complex emotional threads, the first half occasionally feels scattered.
The review stated: “Several characters with negative shades are introduced to highlight the protagonist’s constant battles… The first half leaves some ambiguity around the motivations of these antagonists. The second half, however, patiently unravels these threads and gives the conflicts a stronger emotional purpose.”
