Urgent appeal launched for missing teenager last seen on Church Road
Police have launched an urgent search for a 16-year-old boy who has been reported missing, with authorities expressing “serious concerns” for his wellbeing.
Malachi was last seen yesterday, November 2, in the vicinity of the Saucy Flipper Fish Bar on Church Road. He was spotted in the area between 5pm and 6pm. Investigations into his disappearance are ongoing, with reports suggesting that his bag was discovered on board the 18 bus.
The teenager is described as being five foot four inches tall with a “solid” and “athletic” build. He has distinctive long black dreadlocks, which he typically wears tied back, and dark brown eyes.
Authorities have highlighted that Malachi is considered vulnerable. He lives with autism and is at risk of non-epileptic seizures. His disappearance is particularly alarming to his family and the police as he was due to attend an important medical appointment, which he has now missed.
“There are serious concerns for his welfare,” a police spokesperson stated as the appeal was circulated to the public.
Officers are now urging anyone who may have seen Malachi, or who has any information regarding his current whereabouts, to come forward immediately. Members of the public who believe they may have seen him are asked to contact the police by calling 101.
Callers are requested to quote the reference number MP/2026/1045 when providing information. Every lead is currently being pursued as the search enters a critical stage.
