EU awards €1.1bn to nine hydrogen projects
The European Commission has selected nine renewable hydrogen projects for a combined €1.1bn ($1.3bn) in funding under the third auction of the European Hydrogen Bank, drawn from the EU Innovation Fund.
The projects span seven countries across the EU, with a combined capacity of around 1.1GW. They are expected to produce more than 1.3m tonnes of hydrogen over their first ten years of operation.
