Armed police descend on Liscard road in hunt for masked men on bikes with weapons

Armed police searched the road in Liscard today

Armed police descended on Liscard this afternoon, Monday (July 13), after masked men on bikes with weapons reportedly chased another two men wielding weapons. Merseyside Police said it is searching for two masked men following the incident on Rake Lane, which happened around 3.20pm.

It was reported to the force that two men on bikes, wearing balaclavas and carrying weapons, chased another two men on Rake Lane. Armed officers attended and an extensive search of the area was carried out but nobody has been located, police said. Enquiries remain ongoing.
