Here’s a round up of some of the biggest incidents of the week:
In Wrexham city centre, a large police presence – including armed officers – was deployed on the morning of Thursday, May 14. North Wales Police confirmed that the response began shortly after 8.41am as officers carried out searches to locate an individual.
The individual was later located near Wrexham Maelor Hospital and spoken to by officers, with police determining that concerns were “well intentioned but unfounded”.
Assistant Chief Constable Nicholas Evans acknowledged the incident may have caused alarm in the community but reassured residents there was no ongoing risk. Officers remained visible in the area for reassurance following the incident.
Elsewhere, two air ambulances called to an incident in Upton, Chester, on Monday, May 11. The helicopters were deployed to Wealstone Lane, with both landing near the scene before departing at approximately 4.30pm.
Cheshire Police later confirmed the incident was a medical emergency – whereby a man had collapsed.
A a large-scale search operation was launched in Flintshire after a 60-year-old woman was reported missing from the Pentre Halkyn area on the evening of Wednesday, May 13.
The search effort involved North Wales Police, a police helicopter, drone units, multiple search and rescue teams, specialist dogs and volunteers, with support from neighbouring teams in Cheshire and Anglesey.
After extensive searches over two days, the woman was located on Thursday evening following a report from a member of the public. Search teams confirmed she was found cold but safe and well, and she was able to walk into an ambulance for further assessment.

Finally, firefighters were called to an incident at the Iceland Foods HQ on Deeside Industrial Estate on Thursday.
Two crews attended reports of smoke coming from the facility’s generator.
Joe Gummet, marketing director at Iceland Ltd Deeside, said: “There’s been a power outage. caused by a trip, essentially, in the power supply.
“It’s been resolved now, and we’ve sent all colleagues home as a precaution, largely, so that they can continue to work effectively from home – due to the fact that we still have an ongoing power issue, which will be resolved in the next few hours.
“The fire service were called as it was par for the course.”
