- Make Polluters Pay: Contaminated sites require immediate remediation, and the financial burden of this extensive cleanup must not fall on the public. Industries responsible for the contamination must fund the restoration of polluted sites and water bodies.

Dr. Rob Collins, Director of Policy & Science at The Rivers Trust, highlighted the failure of policymakers to act on scientific evidence regarding PCBs, warning, “sadly, we are at imminent risk of another late lesson from early warnings with regard to PFAS forever chemicals that are ubiquitous in our fresh and coastal waters.”
