Controversial filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma has once again found himself at the center of online discourse after sharing a series of enigmatic posts on social media that many believe are directed at Yash’s latest release, Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown Ups.

The latest controversy stems from a post Varma shared on X (formerly Twitter) regarding Adolf Hitler. In the post, Varma remarked that after Hitler successfully invaded Poland, he began to believe he was the “biggest superstar.” He further suggested that, in a desire to emulate the global reach of stars like Rajinikanth, Hitler launched an “all-out attack on the world.”

While Varma concluded his post by claiming, “I swear on all the gods in the whole wide world that there is no hidden meaning in what I said, and I promise this from the innocence in my heart,” internet users were quick to draw parallels. Many fans and industry observers interpreted the post as a pointed critique of Yash’s career trajectory following the massive pan-India success of the KGF franchise and the subsequent market response to Toxic.
