Saudi Arabia’s Folk Maritime has launched a new standalone container service linking India and the Red Sea, according to Alphaliner.
The new India-Red Sea (IRS) service deploys three vessels of around 1,900 TEU and provides direct connections between Jeddah and India’s west coast.
The IRS rotation is: Jeddah, Mundra, Nhava Sheva and back to Jeddah.
The new service will operate alongside the existing IRM service, jointly operated by Folk Maritime, CU Lines and Marsa Ocean. The IRM rotation calls at Jeddah, Djibouti, Nhava Sheva, Mundra and returns to Jeddah, offering customers an additional routing option between India and the Red Sea.
