Same marks in Hindi, English
Daughters of doctor parents, Dr Mohanlal and Dr Rashmi Prasad, the twins even got the same marks in English and Hindi — 97. “Even we were so surprised that we checked our marks multiple times, calculated the total and percentage repeatedly, and only then got convinced about the same percentage,” the sisters said, still in awe.

Never thought both would get same marks
Their parents, whom the sisters say stay involved in their studies despite busy schedules, are also elated. “While we expected good results, we never imagined that both would score more or less identical marks in all subjects,” said their mother, Dr Rashmi Prasad, a gynaecologist.
Their father, Dr Mohanlal, added that even though they remain busy during the week, Sundays are reserved for family time. “We work for half the day and spend time with our daughters.”
In terms of subject-wise scores, Drishti secured 99 in computer applications, 92 in mathematics, 96 in science, 97 in English, 97 in Hindi, and 99 in social science. Srishti, meanwhile, scored 98 in computer applications, 98 in mathematics, 94 in science, 97 in English, 97 in Hindi, and 98 in social science.
Sisters share strong bond
The strong bond between the sisters became a key driver of their success. They told TOI that whenever one focused on self-study, it motivated the other to do the same, helping both stay consistent. “We studied, fixing our goal, and now, we will again follow the same path to reach the target of our lives,” the sisters said, crediting their achievement to mutual encouragement. While their personal likes and dislikes are starting to differ as they grow older, their career goals remain the same. Both want to follow in their parents’ footsteps and pursue a career in medicine, and are currently preparing for NEET.
Their career choice also has a special connection to their names. Their parents revealed that both names were inspired by their professions. “When they were born, we chose names linked to our professions. Being an eye specialist, I named one of our daughters Drishti, while my wife (a gynaecologist) named the other Srishti,” said Dr Mohanlal while speaking to TOI.
The twins said studying for three to four hours daily and keeping their phone use in check played a big role in their success. “We maintained a fixed schedule for mobile usage and stayed away from it during study time,” added Srishti.
