Ravi Teja’s ‘Irumudi’ Shows Resilience at Box Office: Crosses ₹116 Crore Globally

Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja continues to maintain a firm grip on the box office with his latest action-drama, Irumudi. Despite facing stiff competition from a slew of new releases including Toxic, DC, and Vishwanath and Sons, the film has successfully sustained its momentum through its first week in theaters.

Sustained Performance and Box Office Numbers

According to industry tracker Sacnilk, Irumudi raked in an estimated ₹10.20 crore in India net collections on its sixth day of release. While this figure marks a 16.4% decline from the previous day’s earnings of ₹12.20 crore, the film’s hold remains commendable given the weekday transition and the ongoing market competition.

To date, the film has amassed a robust Irumudi box office collections figure of ₹85.25 crore in India net earnings. When including overseas contributions of ₹17.25 crore, the film’s worldwide gross has now surged to an impressive ₹116.15 crore.

Domestic Dominance and Occupancy

The Telugu version continues to be the primary engine driving the film’s success. On day six, it accounted for ₹10.18 crore of the domestic total across 2,276 shows. Notably, audience turnout remained strong throughout the day, with an overall occupancy rate of 77.62%. The film saw a steady climb in interest as the day progressed:

  • Morning shows: 64.31%
  • Afternoon shows: 79.62%
  • Evening shows: 84.38%
  • Night shows: 82.15%

In terms of regional performance, the Andhra Pradesh and Telangana markets remain the heart of the film’s earnings, contributing ₹10.75 crore on day six alone. Karnataka and Tamil Nadu continue to show modest but steady interest.

Critical Reception

Beyond the numbers, Irumudi has garnered a three-star rating from ETimes. Critics have lauded the film for its powerful emotional core, even while acknowledging some pacing issues in the first half.

The review highlights that while the introduction of multiple antagonistic characters makes the early narrative feel somewhat crowded, the second half successfully ties the emotional threads together. The film is being celebrated as a poignant social drama that tackles significant themes regarding how society raises daughters and the importance of listening to their experiences. Ultimately, it serves as a moving commentary on the conditioning of women to remain silent in the face of adversity.

As the film moves toward the end of its first week, industry experts are keeping a close watch on whether it can maintain this steady trajectory into the upcoming weekend.
