CHENNAI – Thalapathy Vijay‘s highly anticipated film, ‘Jana Nayagan,’ which premiered on July 23rd as his poignant final cinematic venture, continues its box office journey. While the film made a grand entry, it is currently navigating a predictable mid-week dip in collections during its third week in theatres. Despite the fluctuation, its cumulative figures remain robust, underscoring its significant impact on both domestic and international markets.

As per the latest live estimates provided by Sacnilk, ‘Jana Nayagan’ is presently screened across 820 shows, registering a 10.1% occupancy and an estimated net collection of ₹13 lakhs so far today. The tracking website further indicated an overall morning occupancy of 11.08%.
The film’s total India net collection now stands impressively at ₹193.18 crore. Its India gross collection has ascended to ₹225.04 crore, reflecting its strong domestic performance. A breakdown of today’s collections reveals the Tamil version contributing ₹11 lakh from 556 shows, while the Hindi version garnered ₹2 lakh from 264 shows.
Global Collection
Beyond the domestic borders, ‘Jana Nayagan’ has sustained a commendable run in overseas markets. According to analyses from trade experts, the film added ₹5 lakh on Day 19 (Monday), bringing its total overseas gross to a substantial ₹93.20 crore by the weekend. This robust international performance has propelled the film’s worldwide collection to an impressive ₹318.09 crore.
A closer look at its weekly performance shows an outstanding opening week, where the film amassed over ₹153.55 crore. A natural drop followed in its second week, with collections settling at ₹31.60 crore. In its current third week, ‘Jana Nayagan’ collected ₹1 crore on Friday, followed by ₹2.55 crore on Saturday, and ₹3.60 crore on Sunday. Monday’s collection stood at ₹75 lakh, indicating the typical weekday slowdown after a strong weekend.
