Kartik Aaryan Sustains Severe Knee Injury on Kabir Khan Film Set, Requires Surgery
Mumbai, India – Bollywood star Kartik Aaryan has reportedly suffered a severe knee injury while filming an intense action sequence for his upcoming yet-to-be-titled project with acclaimed director Kabir Khan. The incident occurred during the crucial final two days of the shoot, a period heavily scheduled with demanding stunt work.
Aaryan, known for his dedication to his roles, had been undergoing rigorous training with professional action coaches to prepare for these high-octane sequences. However, during one particular take, he sustained the injury, necessitating immediate medical attention. He was subsequently rushed to Fortis Raheja Hospital in the town, where he is currently under medical care.
Sources close to the production have confirmed that Aaryan is slated to undergo knee surgery within the next day. Following the procedure, doctors have advised a period of rest for the actor to facilitate his recovery. "Kartik has now been admitted to Fortis Raheja Hospital and is under medical care," an insider revealed to India Today. "The doctors will perform his knee surgery in a day, after which he will have to rest for a few days. He should then be able to resume his work commitments."
This unfortunate setback comes at a busy time for the actor. After his recovery period, Aaryan is expected to return to his professional commitments, which include another untitled film directed by Anurag Basu.
The injury also casts a temporary shadow on Aaryan’s recent triumphs. He recently garnered significant acclaim, winning the National Film Award for Best Actor for his powerful performance in ‘Chandu Champion’. This upcoming collaboration with Kabir Khan marks their second joint venture, following the success of ‘Chandu Champion’, a film that also saw Aaryan venture into film production.
