The ‘Lage Raho Munna Bhai’ actor has broken his silence after social media allegations surfaced regarding his involvement in a vehicular collision in Goa.

Actor Ashwin Mushran, known for his performances in popular films like Fashion, Desi Boyz, and Lage Raho Munna Bhai, has publicly addressed the recent controversy surrounding a road accident in Goa. Taking to Instagram on Friday, August 21, the actor issued a stern warning to those spreading what he characterizes as false or unverified information regarding the incident.

Addressing the Controversy

The social media post, which featured a video of the actor, was accompanied by a pointed caption: “The absolute pleasure in seeing a reel about me being deleted. If you spew venom or post unverified information… Expect a response…. One by one.”

The video overlay further emphasized his stance, stating, “When you have the facts and other people don’t,” signaling that the actor is prepared to legally or publicly challenge the narratives circulating online about his conduct during the accident.

Clarifying the Incident

The controversy was sparked by accusations from local leader Amol Kanekar, who alleged that Mushran was driving on the wrong side of the road when he struck a biker in Quepem village, Kushawati district. Kanekar further claimed that the impact was severe enough to lodge a piece of the victim’s bone into the car’s fender and alleged that the actor and his wife engaged in a heated argument with locals at the scene rather than offering assistance.

However, official police reports have contradicted these claims. Authorities clarified that Ashwin Mushran was not driving the vehicle at the time of the collision. Instead, a criminal case has been registered against his 32-year-old driver, Vasant Puttappa Laman.

The accident resulted in injuries to two individuals traveling on a scooter. As investigations into the collision continue, the actor’s recent social media activity indicates a resolve to protect his reputation against what he deems to be baseless character assassination.
