Sivga Launches Affordable M260 Wired Earphones for Music and Gaming

The new Sivga M260 wired earbuds feature a retro design and modern audio technology at accessible prices, catering to gamers and music lovers alike.

Chinese audio manufacturer Sivga has introduced the M260, a budget-friendly pair of wired in-ear monitors (IEMs) designed with both music enthusiasts and gamers in mind. Priced at approximately £40 (around $45) for the 3.5mm version and £45 (around $50) for the USB-C variant, the M260 aims to deliver high-quality audio performance at an accessible price point.

The M260 utilises a 14.2mm dynamic driver that features an innovative copper-ring composite bio-diaphragm. This design is intended to minimise distortion while enhancing clarity, providing a balanced auditory experience that is particularly effective for vocal reproduction. The reduced distortion levels mean users can enjoy a more authentic listening experience, whether streaming music or engaging in gaming sessions that require precise audio signals.

Reflecting a retro aesthetic, the M260’s design draws inspiration from the golden age of portable audio, reminiscent of vintage cassette players and early compact discs. Its metallic finish and exposed grille contribute to its classic look, appealing to consumers who appreciate a nod to the past while enjoying modern sound technology.

One notable feature of the M260 is its versatility. The earphones come with a detachable cable system using MMCX connectors, permitting users to replace the cable with alternatives if desired. The included cable is made from 4N silver-plated oxygen-free copper, designed to ensure robust signal transmission and enhance durability. Lengthy at 1.2 meters, it provides ample reach for various listening conditions, whether at home, while commuting, or on the move.

For users requiring modern connectivity, the USB-C version of the M260 is equipped with an integrated digital-to-analogue converter (DAC), designed around the Realtek ALC5686 chipset. This enables the earphones to handle high-resolution audio files up to 32-bit/384kHz, making them suitable for devices that no longer have traditional headphone jacks. Both versions of the M260 come with four different pairs of eartips to ensure a comfortable and secure fit for various ear sizes.

The M260’s lightweight build enhances comfort, making it suitable for prolonged wear during extended listening or gaming sessions. With a frequency response of 20Hz to 20kHz, sensitivity of 118dB, and an impedance rating of 16 ohms, the IEMs provide a comprehensible and precise audio output across a variety of playback formats.

The M260 earphones are currently available for purchase from the Sivga Store, as well as on platforms like Amazon and various retail outlets, catering to a wide range of audio consumers. According to Sivga’s promotional material, these earphones promise to bridge classic audio design with contemporary performance, appealing to both nostalgic listeners and modern gamers alike.
