NBCC India Limited Recognized for Outstanding Contributions to Hindi Promotion

New Delhi, August 20, 2026 – NBCC (India) Limited, a leading public sector undertaking, was honored for its significant efforts in promoting and effectively implementing Hindi as the official language at the 17th half-yearly meeting of the Town Official Language Implementation Committee (TOLIC), Delhi-2 (Undertaking-2), held on August 19, 2026. The recognition highlights NBCC’s unwavering commitment to fostering Hindi within its organizational framework.

The esteemed awards were presented by Smt. Anshuli Arya, IAS, Secretary of the Department of Official Language, Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, and Dr. Vikas Kumar, Chairman of TOLIC Delhi-2 and Managing Director of Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC).

NBCC received a prestigious Trophy/Shield in appreciation of its exemplary efforts in promoting the Official Language, particularly for the publication of the 20th edition of its in-house Hindi magazine. T. D. Mairal, General Manager (HRM/IR/Rajbhasha), along with other senior NBCC officials, accepted the accolade on behalf of the company. This award underscores NBCC’s sustained dedication to embedding Hindi in its official communications and institutional activities. The company’s Hindi in-house magazine serves as a vital platform, encouraging employees to actively engage with the Official Language and showcase their literary and creative talents.

The ceremony also celebrated the outstanding individual contributions of NBCC employees. Several staff members were recognized for their exceptional performances in various Rajbhasha competitions, further demonstrating the widespread enthusiasm for Hindi within the organization. Among those honored in the Individual Employee category were Jai Ram, AGM (Finance); Vandana Ojha, Manager (Official Language); Ramesh Kumar Vaish, Manager (HRM); and Arvind Kumar Srivastava, Executive.

These accolades serve not only as a testament to the commitment of NBCC employees towards the effective implementation of the Official Language policy but also aim to inspire greater participation in Hindi-related activities.
