GATE 2027 Registration Begins: IIT Madras Introduces Robotics Paper and Makes DigiLocker Mandatory
The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras has officially commenced the registration process for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2027. Keeping pace with evolving technological demands, IIT Madras has introduced a brand new test paper: Robotics and Automation (RA). This addition reflects the growing importance of autonomous systems, artificial intelligence, and advanced manufacturing in the global engineering landscape. With this new paper, the total number of subjects offered in the exam has reached 30.

The GATE 2027 exam is scheduled to be held over three weekends in February 2027. The testing dates are set for February 6, 7, 13, 14, 20, and 21.
