Andrea Gacki will step down as director of the U.S. Financial Crimes Enforcement Network to lead global sanctions compliance at Citigroup, Reuters reported Thursday.
Gacki has lead FinCEN since September 2023 and served in various roles at the Treasury Department, including as director of the Office of Foreign Assets Control, for more than 25 years. Jenna Cassanova, a senior advisor with Treasury’s Office of Terrorism and Financial Intelligence, will replace her, according to Reuters.
Gacki will remain with FinCEN in the coming weeks to ensure a smooth transition prior to joining Citi on Oct. 1.
