In the wake of the polarized reception surrounding the latest cinematic venture Toxic: A Fairy Tale For Grown Ups, Kannada superstar Kichcha Sudeep has stepped forward to offer his public support for lead actor Yash. Breaking the silence amidst the wave of online criticism, Sudeep has lauded the KGF star for his willingness to abandon commercial comfort zones in favor of artistic experimentation.

While many industry observers expected Yash to capitalize on the massive momentum of his previous blockbusters with a safe, high-octane formulaic follow-up, he chose a drastically different path with Toxic.

Produced by Venkat K. Narayana and Yash himself, the film has performed solidly at the box office, narrowly missing the Rs 200 crore domestic gross milestone. According to data from Sacnilk, the film’s total India gross collection reached Rs 197.75 crore by its third day.
