Actor Preity Zinta, who is currently celebrating the strong run of her IPL team Punjab Kings, recently opened up about why she doesnât like being referred to as a âtrophy.âOn Monday, Preity hosted a lively Q&A session on X (formerly Twitter) under the hashtag â#pzchat,â where she interacted with fans and addressed a range of questions. During the session, a user brought up a viral âbangerâ tweet that read: âThereâs a reason why she hasnât won a trophy cuz she is the trophy.â Reacting to it, Preity responded with her trademark warmth and clarity, saying, âThank you, thatâs very sweet, but honestly speaking, no woman wants to be a trophy. Trophyâs are owned women are not! Trophies are kept in glass cupboards and a womenâs place is in your life & in your heart Filmy question ke liye filmy answer for you Ting!âThe conversation also turned to her film choices. Speaking about her upcoming project Lahore 1947, she said, âI always wanted to do a period film, thatâs why I signed Lahore 1947, and of course, itâs with my one of my favourite directors, Rajkumar Santoshi and Sunny (Sunny Deol) is always a pleasure to work with.â She added that the film revolves around a love story set against the backdrop of the Partition era.Talking about another project, Vibe, the actor shared, âVibe is just a really funny light-hearted film & was great to do after the intensity of Lahore 1947.â She also revealed that both films are slated for release later this year.Preity also spoke fondly about Shreyas Iyer when a fan asked about her experience working with him at Punjab Kings. Praising his leadership, she said, âHe is an inspiring & strategic leader that leads by example. Intelligent, calm, inclusive & accessible to the whole team. On a fun note, he is also incredible with kids; thatâs why my kids lovingly call him Shreyas Bhaiya and adore him.â
