Google Announces Special Edition Pokémon Sleep Fitbit Air
For dedicated fans of the popular mobile title Pokémon Sleep, tracking your rest just became a lot more thematic. Google has officially unveiled a new, limited-edition version of the Fitbit Air, designed specifically to complement the Pokémon sleep-tracking experience.
The device arrives in a calming “Sleepy Blue” colorway and features an adorable, custom print of a sleeping Pikachu on the band. Beyond the aesthetic upgrade, the hardware remains identical to the standard Fitbit Air, which was engineered for a lightweight, unobtrusive fit—a crucial feature for users who want to track their sleep without being distracted by their wearable.
Seamless Integration with Pokémon Sleep
While users have long been able to link existing smartwatches to the Pokémon Sleep app via Apple Health or Google’s Health Connect, this new special edition is tailored to make that connection feel more intentional.
To use the device, owners simply need to navigate to the settings menu within the Pokémon Sleep app to pair the Fitbit via Health Connect. Once the devices are synced, the wearable automatically transmits your nightly rest data to the app. When you wake up, the game analyzes your Sleep Score—calculated based on your sleep duration—to boost the “Drowsy Power” of Snorlax, effectively attracting Pokémon that exhibit sleep patterns similar to yours.
Pricing and Availability
The special edition wearable is not just for show; it also serves as an entry point into Google’s broader wellness ecosystem. Each purchase includes a complimentary three-month subscription to Google Health Premium (formerly Fitbit Premium). This membership unlocks advanced features, including access to a personal health coach powered by Google’s Gemini AI, designed to provide more granular insights into your recovery and wellness habits.
The Pokémon Sleep Fitbit Air is available for preorder starting today through the Google Store and at select retailers, including Target. Devices are scheduled to begin shipping to customers on September 15.
